| Jason M. Kaplan - Vice President
Mr. Kaplan has project management responsibilities for senior housing and for-sale housing projects at MacKenzie House. Most recently, Jason successfully led the Company’s 24-Walnut townhome development in Downtown Denver. The project won a design merit award and the people’s choice award from the American Institute of Architecture and is a recent housing development that is contributing to the urban renewal of the progressive Ballpark neighborhood in Downtown Denver. With his passion of urban development, Jason has been able to shift his focus from the success of 24-Walnut to the future success of MorningStar Assisted Living at Cherry Creek. The project is located just South of Speer Boulevard, at 3rd Avenue and Logan Street and presents an excellent opportunity for urban renewal and redevelopment. MorningStar Assisted Living at Cherry Creek will be one of MacKenzie House’s premier assisted living communities in Colorado and will be open to residents in the Summer of 2009.
Prior to joining MacKenzie House, Jason completed numerous commercial real estate brokerage transactions, including leasing and investment sales of office, retail, industrial and land. He also managed multiple construction build-outs of many commercial tenants in office and retail space. Jason earned the designation of Certified Commercial Real Estate Investment Manager (CCIM) and is an active member of the Urban Land Institute.
Jason is a native of St. Louis, Missouri but relocated to Colorado in the mid-1990’s to attend the University of Colorado. He currently lives downtown with his wife, Aleksandra, in a 24-Walnut townhome that was completed by MacKenzie House in 2007.
