Max C. Martin - Executive Vice President – Design & Construction

Mr. Martin manages the Design and Construction Management Division of MacKenzie House. His role includes supervision of ten construction management professionals who provide estimating, quality control, warranty and field construction management, product procurement and contract management. His group also maintains MacKenzie House’s relationships with numerous architects and general contractors.

Max has 27 years experience in real estate development encompassing all aspects of the design and construction process. Max’s experience and leadership is an essential component of MacKenzie House’s practice of hiring third-party General Contractors. Max’s Division and third-party staff actively supervise the pre-construction design and cost estimation process as well as construction management during the building process. Max challenges the design and construction teams to find innovative and creative practices to improve MacKenzie House projects.

Prior to joining MacKenzie House, he was the founder, President and CEO of Martin Design, Inc. From 1986 to 2005, his firm specialized in architecture, structural engineering, civil engineering and landscape design. Martin Design focused on residential projects ranging from single-family homes to high-rise urban construction.

Max earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Vermont and is a registered structural engineer in Colorado. He lives in Englewood with his wife, Peggy, and their three children.
