James W. Clay - Vice President

Mr. Clay manages and supervises vertical construction of MacKenzie House’s multifamily construction projects. He is directly involved with budget and schedule management, design team coordination, and contractor selection and supervision. He also supports the development team with estimating, conceptual design, value engineering, and scheduling.

Jim has over 10 years experience developing multifamily projects. Prior to joining MacKenzie House, he managed the infrastructure development and conversion of military housing for a 1,600-acre former Air Force base. Jim also gained development management experience for a Denver developer building apartments, condominiums, and townhomes. His previous work included project management roles with 2 large multifamily REITs: Archstone-Smith and Equity Residential Properties Trust.

Jim obtained a BS in civil engineering from the University of Kentucky and an MBA from the University of Washington. He has lived in Colorado for the past six years and currently resides in the Platte Park neighborhood of Denver.
